The activities for the 65th Miss Universe pageant is currently in full swing around the country. Among these were the Vigan fashion show and the Governor’s Ball, which was held at the SM Mall of Asia. The ladies all looked stunning in their ball gowns and traditional Filipino costumes over the course of those events.
All 86 candidates recently traveled to Cebu City on Tuesday, January 17, to compete in the Miss Universe Swimsuit competition. The early favorites, including Miss Philippines representative Maxine Medina, stole the spotlight in the runway show, which took place at JPark Island Resort and Waterpark.
Miss Universe Swimsuit Competition Held in Cebu
Gracing the Miss Universe Swimsuit competition were Pia Wurtzbach and Pageant Vice President Shawn McClain. The flirty and fun swimsuits were designed by the pageant’s official sponsor Yamamay. Find out who were the standouts during the preliminary competition below.
Miss Spain Noelia Freire
The 24-year-old stunner from Ciudad Real, Spain, wears the banner of her mother country with pride. She has been turning heads in the competition and has become one of the early favorites. Her advocacy centers around raising awareness for breast cancer.
Miss Thailand Chalita Suansane
Chalita Suansane made headline news after packing a whopping 17 suitcases for the Miss Universe pageant. But there’s more to Miss Thailand than meets the eye, as 22-year-old Charlita has proven to have the brains as well. She is currently studying microbiology at Mahasarakham University.
Miss Philippines Maxine Medina
Maxine Medina is hoping for a back-to-back win for her country, but she is currently facing a lot of tough competition in the pageant. Nonetheless, she has continuously been giving her all in the preliminary rounds.
Miss Germany Johanna Acs
Fans have reveled over Miss Germany Johanna Acs‘s beauty in social media. Acs bears a lot of similarity to supermodel and fellow German Heidi Klum. The 5’10” stunner is a top bet to win the Miss Universe Swimsuit competition.
